Welcome to Sarah Heller's Take a Hike Donation Page
May is Skin Cancer Awareness month and I'm telling skin cancer to take a hike this May! I am raising funds for the American Academy of Dermatology's Skin Cancer, Take a Hike foundation!™ Donations will be used to educate the public about how to prevent and detect skin cancer, provide access to free skin cancer screenings, build shade structures in our communities and install sunscreen dispensers in large outdoor areas.
Chances are you or someone you know has been affected by skin cancer. I know that, like me, you care about the health of those around you. Will you join me and help support a great cause?
You may have heard that one in five Americans will develop skin cancer. But did you know that when caught early, skin cancer has a 98% cure rate! That’s why raising awareness about skin cancer prevention and detection is so important to the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and its members. It’s also why I'm participating in this event. Go ahead and click that “Donate” button on the right to support my efforts!
Your donation to my hike will help the AAD:
- provide free skin cancer screenings for more people across the country,
- offer free resources to help teach kids and others how to protect their skin,
- build permanent shade for outdoor community and play areas, and more.
Your donation will help save lives! Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States and our goal is a world without skin cancer…and we need your help to get there!
